The IPPCA’s Certification levels

CPPC Certification

BECOMING AN IPPCA CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL POND CONTRACTOR.

THIS IS NOT A RUBBERSTAMP PROGRAM!

To get certified by the IPPCA as a CPPC, you must first be a Contractor Member in good standing with the IPPCA.  To become a basic IPPCA Contractor Member:

1) Apply and meet Basic IPPCA Contractor Membership requirements:
         A) Three (3) Filled out Contractor Rating forms from your customers.
         B) First years membership dues paid in full ($250.00 first year, $250 renewal)
         C) Signed annual Contract for Services agreement. (Agree to follow IPPCA rules)
         D) Pass BBB background check.
         E) Take Entrance Evaluation Exam. (No pass or fail.)
         F) Supply information to complete your personal webpage on IPPCA.com.

You will now be authorized to use the IPPCA logo in your marketing and advertising (see membership rules).

To become an IPPCA Certified Professional Pond Contractor (CPPC):

2) Inform us of your intention to achieve CPPC status; this will entail, inclusive of the
    above,  the additional requirements of:
         A)  A minimum of nine (9) more Contractor Rating forms filled out and submitted.
         B) Proof of appropriate local business license(s).
         C) Proof of Workman’s Compensation Insurance.
         D) Proof of a Minimum $1 Million dollar coverage General liability policy
and adding the IPPCA as an additional insured on said policy.
         E) Pass Certification Exam with a 90% or better score.
         F) A one-time processing fee of $250.00 (If CPPC status is achieved within
             30
(thirty) Days of initial Membership application, this fee will be reduced
to $150.00.) CPPC status achieved and maintained will lower annual
             IPPCA Membership
renewal to $200.00.

G) Requested but not mandatory at this time: Continue to have customers
             send in
Contractor Rating Forms for the rest of your business career,
supplying you and the IPPCA with ongoing valuable customer feed back on
your company’s performance in the field. This information will NOT be used
or distributed outside of the IPPCA office(s).

You will now be authorized to use the IPPCA  CPPC logo in your marketing and advertising (see membership rules).

To become a Certified Easy Pro Specialist:

3) Once you’ve met IPPCA CPPC standards, you may apply for Certified Easy Pro Specialist status. To achieve this, you will simply supply the IPPCA with a signed Certificate of Competency from your local Easy Pro distributor (we’ll supply the blank document to you at your request when you’re qualified to apply), or supply proof of purchase of Easy Pro specific products of enough quantity to have installed 3 (three) or more ponds or “Just a falls” systems. A one time processing fee of $50.00 will be required if requirements are not met within 30 (thirty) days of initial IPPCA membership application. If done within first 30 (thirty) days, this fee will be waived. There will be no additional fees required at IPPCA annual membership renewal time, and once listed as a Certified Easy Pro Specialist in our files your renewal with the IPPCA will be automatic as such when you renew your IPPCA Membership.

You will now be authorized to use the Certified Easy Pro Specialist logo in your marketing and advertising (see membership rules).

A point of note: If for any reason you loose or non-renew your IPPCA CPPC status and membership, your Certified Easy Pro Specialist status will automatically be ended as well.

One other benefit of becoming an IPPCA Certified Professional Pond Contractor will be the certified members’ only forum. This will be an online forum to run questions and info past your peers.

NO ONE else in the industry offers this. It’s just one more step that the IPPCA is undertaking to help strengthen, unite and improve the water garden and pond industry.
